Our client, a well-established Canadian law firm with a long-standing presence in the Vancouver market, is seeking an Accounting Administrator to join its Accounting team. This is an excellent chance for a detail-oriented and proactive accounting skilled with at least two years of relevant experience who thrives in a fast-paced, skilled services environment.

The Role

The Accounting Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department by performing a wide range of clerical and administrative accounting duties. This role involves processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, assisting with trust accounting and compliance, and supporting ad hoc projects as required.

Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile trust accounts in accordance with applicable regulations and internal policies
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Support employee expense reimbursements
Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation
Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections




Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports
Respond to internal inquiries related to financial transactions
Participate in ad hoc projects and special assignments
Perform other accounting or administrative duties as required

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting support or accounting administrator role
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
Experience with trust accounting (preferred)
Solid attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
Prior experience in a law firm environment

This role offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $64,000–$70,000 , depending on education and experience. The firm supports ongoing professional growth and encourages team connections through firm-wide social initiatives.
