Purpose of the position This position plays an integral role in the beautification and enhancement within the county, including (but not limited to): Performs maintenance and repair on County lands, beaches/waterfronts, boat launches, trails, sports fields, parks and playgrounds, outdoor skating rinks, and cemeteries.

Assists qualified trades personnel in projects with greater scope Carpenters).

Operates various types of equipment Mowers, Skid steer) for turf management, boat launch installs, Outdoor rink ice installation/maintenance, etc.

Performs pre-post inspections and maintenance on all fleet washing vehicles/equipment).

Assists with social events/meeting by lifting and moving tables, setting up tents, equipment, and other logistics.

Completes opening and closing/securing asset procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:



Travel required to County facilities Outdoors exposed to seasonal elements year round Want to be a part of our County team? To be successful in this position, you will: Grade 12 or equivalent. 2 to 4 years related work experience . AARFP Parks & Sports Field training is an asset or be will to obtain First Aid is an asset.

Chainsaw operation ticket is an asset.

Mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting abilities.

Experience working with hand tools and operating small equipment.

Well-developed in public relations skills.
