Are YOU ready to join our Laboratory Assistant Trainee Program? As an Uncertified Laboratory Assistant – Student Trainee you will be responsible for the pre and post analytical processing of laboratory specimens and/or entering requisitions accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring quality control checks and standards are run as required.
Status: Casual Hours of Work: Mon- Fri, hours vary based on operation need Create an ideal customer experience that is best in class and engages with individuals around our products and services Accurately enter data, patient, and test information for Ministry of Health requisitions Obtain quality blood samples and other specimens from patients, using skillful venipuncture techniques,
performed in keeping with Dynacare’s mission and values Ensure specimens and supporting documentation are completed as required in SOPs and ready for data entry and transportation to the laboratory, following established protocols for the handling of suitable and unsuitable samples Contribute to meeting the departmental/corporate quality metrics, regulatory compliance and quality indicators Excellent data entry skills required (minimum 40 words per minute) Completion of Medical Terminology course Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team centered environment Knowledge of Omnitech Data Entry system/LIS Normal office environment Medical laboratory environment May sit or stand for prolonged period of time with extensive computer use Pay rate: $21.00 per hour.
