**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
As a General Production Worker, you will rotate between work stations, focusing on feeding finished candy onto the dumping table and inspecting candy quality to ensure the packaged product meets quality standards.

You may pack bagged candy into cardboard boxes and manually load boxes onto pallets for the warehouse.

Additionally, you will communicate material requirements to appropriate personnel, support machine operators, continuously clean your work area, and maintain general cleanliness of the work center.

You will also be responsible for fixing jam-ups, recording batch numbers and times for new pallets of candy, understanding SOPs and work instructions, and supporting all safety programs and initiatives.

Ensuring all packaged products meet GMP and food safety requirements is crucial.
**Responsibilities**
Rotate work station between feeding finished candy onto the dumping table and inspecting candy quality.

Pack bagged candy into cardboard boxes and manually load boxes onto pallets.

Communicate material requirements to appropriate personnel.

Provide support as required to machine operators.

Continuously clean the area surrounding the work station and maintain general work center cleanliness.

Fix jam-ups and record batch numbers and times for every new pallet of candy.

Understand and follow SOPs and work instructions.

Participate and support all safety programs, policies, and initiatives.

Ensure all packaged products meet GMP and food safety requirements.

Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a large manufacturing/GMP facility with heavily automated and state-of-the-art equipment.

It is temperature-controlled and very clean.

Employees must comply with GMP requirements, including wearing PPE such as hairnets, beardnets, coats, and safety shoes.





The facility operates 24/7 with rotating continental day and night shifts (7-7). A sample schedule includes rotating shifts and days off.

There are approximately 400-500 employees at the facility, with 100 people for each crew, across four crews.

This is a Contract position based out of Hamilton, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
