Thompson Optometry is a well-established, multidisciplinary optometry clinic with a specialized vision therapy centre. We are looking for a motivated, friendly, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with people and wants to be part of a collaborative healthcare team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Working closely with our optometrists and healthcare team, your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-testing patients for vision assessments using specialized optometric equipment and cognitive testing.
- Assisting and scribing for the optometrist during vision assessments.
- Working directly with vision therapy patients, including children, adults, athletes and individuals with special needs or traumatic brain injuries.
- Communicating with patients, families and other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists.
- Collaborating with optometrists to discuss cases and develop individualized vision therapy plans.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout their vision therapy programs.
- Helping develop educational and marketing materials to promote our vision therapy services.
What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in optometry, vision therapy and patient care.
- Has completed or is working towards OEP and/or COVT&R; certification, or has related education or experience.
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Is organized, dependable and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Is comfortable working with patients of different ages and backgrounds.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and takes initiative.
- Is available to work Saturdays.
Experience in optometry, vision therapy or a related healthcare field is an asset. We are also open to candidates who are enthusiastic about learning and growing in this specialized area.

Position Details
- Position: Full-Time or Part -Time
- Compensation: $21.00–$23.00 per hour
- Location: In-person, Brampton, Ontario
- Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday availability required
