Youth Home Services Youth Support Worker Compensation: $18.50 per hour daytime rate and $17.00 per hour nighttime.

Shift Schedules: 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm Daytime and 7pm-7am Nighttime.

Child and Youth Care is an Alberta organization established to support vulnerable children and youth primarily between 0-17 years but also after that age by providing them with a protective reliable caring and supportive home environment. Reporting to the organization program Coordinator the Youth Support Worker must be trauma informed.

This position requires support worker to: Provide guidance support and supervision to children and youth in care Maintain a creative and sensitive approach in meeting the needs of children and youth in care Role model healthy behavior for children and youth in care Provide support to children and youth in developing independent living skills Knowledge on Mental health and Indigenous culture The Youth Support Worker will have related post-secondary education or equivalent experience an understanding of issues related to adverse childhood experiences. The successful candidate will have experience working with marginalized youth communication and relationship skills crisis prevention and problem- solving skills. All candidates for the above position will have to successfully undertake a Police Record Check and a Child Welfare Information System CWIS check.

Trauma Informed

Care (TIC) Certification considered an asset.
