About Jade LegalJade Legal Services Professional Corporation is an Ontario-based legal practice specializing in Accident Benefits, Provincial Offences, and Small Claims matters.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Accident Benefits Legal Assistant, Law Clerk, or Licensed Paralegal to provide ongoing support to our legal team.

Mandatory Requirement: Applicants must have at least two years of direct, hands-on Ontario Accident Benefits (SABS) experience. General legal experience or personal injury experience outside Ontario does not satisfy this requirement.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and process SABS forms, including OCF documentation and supporting records.
- Handle insurer correspondence, medical records requests, section 33 requests, and other Accident Benefits-related inquiries.

- Monitor deadlines, outstanding treatment plans, insurer responses, and other important file developments.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional correspondence.
- Identify missing documentation, inconsistencies, potential issues, and required follow-up actions.
- Maintain organized and accurate electronic files and case management records.
- Prioritize competing responsibilities and complete assignments accurately and within required timelines.

Required Qualifications

- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and proofreading abilities.

- Is proactive in identifying missing information and outstanding requirements.

- Communicates clearly, professionally, and promptly.
- Is dependable, accountable, and interested in a long-term professional relationship.

Following onboarding, the engagement will be fully remote.

Contract ArrangementThis opportunity is offered on an independent contractor basis, subject to a written services agreement.

The engagement does not include employer-sponsored health benefits, bonuses, or professional development funding.

Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and the agreed scope of services.

How to ApplyPlease submit your resume clearly outlining your direct Ontario Accident Benefits experience and the responsibilities you have independently handled.
