Lemmer Spray Systems Ltd. — Calgary, AB

Full-time | On-site

Lemmer Spray Systems Ltd. is an established Canadian manufacturer and distributor of spray equipment, with more than 60 years in business and operations in Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec.

We are looking for a hands-on Accountant to join our Calgary team. Reporting to the Controller, you will take ownership of bank reconciliations, prepare journal entries and month-end schedules, and help maintain accurate financial records across our operations.

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their work, follows through on commitments, and contributes to the team’s success. You should enjoy investigating discrepancies, solving practical problems, and identifying improvements that add value to the business.

What you’ll do

- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving outstanding items.
- Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and working papers for month-end review.
- Assist with GST/HST reconciliations and year-end schedules.
- Support inventory reconciliations and investigate differences with the Controller and operations team.
- Provide accounts payable backup and assist with accounting records for related companies.
- Help improve SAP Business One workflows and accounting processes.
- Maintain clear records of outstanding issues, next steps, and follow-up commitments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across branches to resolve accounting questions and improve processes.

What you bring

- A diploma or degree in accounting,

or equivalent relevant experience.
- Approximately two to four years of relevant accounting experience.
- Practical experience with bank and general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end support.
- The ability to complete routine reconciliations independently and prepare clear schedules for review.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP software.
- Accuracy, sound judgment, and the ability to organize competing priorities.
- Professional communication with customers and colleagues.
- A proactive approach: investigate problems, ask focused questions, and see work through to completion.
- A team-oriented attitude, including a willingness to help colleagues and contribute where needed.

SAP Business One experience, manufacturing or distribution experience, and progress toward a CPA designation are assets, but are not required.

What we offer

- A competitive salary based on experience, plus benefits.
- The opportunity to join a growing Canadian company where your contributions make a visible difference.
- The opportunity to work closely with the Controller and company leadership.
- Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, inventory, and multi-company accounting.
- The prospect to develop broader accounting responsibilities as your skills grow.

How to apply

Please email your CV (résumé) to [email protected], along with a brief note describing the accounting responsibilities you have personally handled, particularly reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end work.
