Role Description

Blockchain And Innovation Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Crypto Risk & Volatility Analyst to evaluate cryptocurrency market risks, monitor volatility, and develop data-driven insights to support risk assessment and strategic decision-making. This role focuses on understanding digital-asset price behavior, liquidity conditions, market correlations, and potential downside exposure across crypto markets. The successful candidate will use quantitative analysis, statistical methods, and market research to identify emerging risks, evaluate market scenarios, and communicate findings that help inform investment and trading strategies.

Responsibilities

- Monitor cryptocurrency markets and assess volatility across Bitcoin, Ethereum, altcoins, and other digital assets.
- Analyze price movements, trading volumes,



liquidity, market correlations, and changing risk conditions.
- Apply statistical methods and quantitative indicators to evaluate volatility patterns and potential market stress.
- Assess market exposure, drawdown potential, liquidity risks, and downside scenarios across digital assets.
- Develop and maintain analytical models to support risk measurement, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
- Research macroeconomic events, regulatory developments, and market catalysts that may influence crypto volatility.
- Evaluate risk factors associated with DeFi protocols, tokenomics, smart contracts, and emerging blockchain projects.
- Prepare risk reports, volatility summaries, dashboards, and analytical presentations for stakeholders.
- Track key risk indicators and identify unusual market behavior, concentration risks, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with investment, research, and technology teams to translate quantitative findings into practical risk insights.

Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in financial risk analysis, quantitative research, investment analysis, trading, or cryptocurrency markets is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, digital assets,



and blockchain fundamentals.
- Knowledge of volatility analysis, statistical methods, market risk, and risk-management principles.
- Familiarity with concepts such as drawdowns, liquidity risk, correlations, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Python, SQL, or statistical analysis tools is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret market data and communicate complex findings in transparent, concise reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to research and documentation.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Degree or studies in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

Compensation

CAD 110,000 - CAD 130,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and the scope of the role.
