The Adult Day Program is focused on offering older adults a wide range of social, cognitive, physical and spiritual activities. This program is designed for community dwelling seniors with physical frailty as well as mild cognitive impairments.





Key Responsibilities

- Provides sound clinical knowledge and skills, acts as clinical expert and resource
- Provides comprehensive, quality client/family centred health care services
- Plans for, delivers and evaluates nursing interventions, including medications, Rapid Antigen testing (RAT), as well as treatments which fall within the RPN’s scope of practice
- Provides client-centred care within an interdisciplinary care team to meet the personal care, activation, recreation and spiritual needs of clients

Qualifications

- Current registration, in positive standing, from the College of Nurses of Ontario (‘CNO’) is required
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (‘BCLS’) certificate, Level C - Automated External Device (‘AED’) is required
- Experience with clients in day programs setting or residents in a Community Setting preferred
- Certificate in Dementia Care preferred
- Training in Gentle Persuasive Approach and U-First preferred
