A career as a Senior Data Steward within the Risk Strategy Modeling team at National Bank means serving as a specialist in data governance and data quality for the Credit Risk domain. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the transformation of the organization’s analytical and operational capabilities through your expertise in data management, governance, data quality, and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.

Your role

- Apply data governance and data management best practices in collaboration with data owners within the Credit Risk domain.
- Participate in the sector’s strategic initiatives by analyzing impacts on data requirements and ensuring appropriate governance throughout project delivery.
- Act as a Team Lead by prioritizing, planning, coordinating, and aligning the work of a team composed of data stewards, data engineers, and business analysts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance practices and contribute to the development and execution of the domain’s data strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement of data quality by defining key metrics, quality thresholds, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Support stakeholders throughout the data management lifecycle, including development teams, subject matter experts, and data consumers.
- Identify the needs of data users and provide recommendations in partnership with data owners.
- Contribute to the evolution of the target data ecosystem to support business objectives and the sector’s transformation priorities.

Your team Within the Risk Modeling and Strategies sector, you will be part of a large multidisciplinary team whose mandate is to deliver value through the transformation of the domain. This includes building the target data ecosystem, establishing the analytical and operational environments of the future,



and developing models and strategies that leverage new data assets and capabilities delivered through strategic initiatives such as Polaris and the Commercial Strategic Pillars program. You will report to the Senior Director, Data and Decision Tools. Prerequisites

- Relevant education in data-related disciplines and a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in risk modeling, data architecture, or data management.
- Experience in data governance and data quality management within complex environments.
- Knowledge of Credit Risk data, including credit decisioning, credit bureaus, collections, or recovery activities.
- Experience in a management or leadership role.
- Experience leading strategic or transformation initiatives.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Excel and Power BI,



as well as data governance and data management platforms such as Collibra.
