Ron’s Vacuum Service is hiring for a Swamper position to assist with the operation of our truck fleet while working towards their class 3 license, along with working in our mechanic shop & wash bay as required. Applicants must hold a valid class 5 license, must provide & maintain a clean driver’s abstract, & must successfully participate in the Ron’s Vac Class 3 Driver Training Program to achieve their airbrakes & class 3 driver’s license.

Applicants are required to successfully obtain their class 3 license within first 3 months of employment. If unable to pass applicable Class 3 exams (Airbrakes Knowledge Test, Learners Knowledge Exam, & Class 3 Road Test) or make significant progress within 3 months, employment is subject to termination. Continued employment is contingent upon successfully obtaining a Class 3 drivers license. The right candidate must be looking for a long-term career, be willing to learn, have a valid class 5 license, show dedication to the company, and have patience while building driving and operating experience over multiple years. Candidates do not necessarily need commercial driving or oilfield experience to apply. This is a very limited industry opportunity for the right person to build a career path.

Jobs are dispatched from the shop daily, so applicants must reside in Wainwright or the immediate surrounding area to be considered. We exclusively work in the local area & are home nightly, we do not offer any camp or remote opportunities.



Applicants need to be energetic & physically fit, able to work up to 15 hours per day when required. Applicants must be safety-oriented individuals that are willing to fully participate in our safety program. Safety tickets & oilfield experience are an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Standard work schedule is 10 days-on & 4 days-off, some variations may apply. Competitive wages based on experience, and perks are available after 3 months of employment.
