Phylax Security is hiring professional, reliable, and experienced Traffic Control Security Guards for a long-term assignment in Richmond Hill.

We are looking for responsible individuals who can manage site access, assist with vehicle and pedestrian movement, and maintain a safe and organized environment.

This position is ideal for candidates seeking consistent daytime work, full time hours, and a long-term commitment.

The assignment is anticipated to be ongoing for approximately 12–24 months, subject to project requirements.

Site Operating Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Full-time and part-time shifts will be arranged within these operating hours.

Candidates with flexible availability and the ability to work consistent daytime shifts will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and control vehicle access to designated areas.
- Assist in maintaining safe vehicle and pedestrian movement.
- Direct authorized construction and delivery vehicles according to approved site procedures.
- Perform traffic-control duties where trained and authorized.
- Monitor entry and exit points.
- Communicate with drivers, contractors, visitors, and site management.
- Identify and report potential traffic hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports.
- Follow applicable traffic-control procedures and site safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous presence at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence .
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous traffic control, construction security,



or site access experience preferred.
- Traffic Control Person training and familiarity with Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 are strong assets.
- Ability to follow site-specific traffic-control plans and safety instructions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation or a dependable commute to Richmond Hill.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to commit to a long-term assignment.
- Availability for early morning starts and occasional extended shifts.
