We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Care Worker to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to adults in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support residents with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration
- Engage residents in social activities and companionship to enhance mental and emotional health
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living areas
- Observe and report changes in residents’ health or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly
- Provide assistance with household tasks like laundry,
light cleaning, and organizing personal belongings
Requirements
- Proven experience working with adults in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments
- Knowledge of senior care practices, including dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities
- Experience administering medications and understanding medication safety protocols
- Robust caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform light cleaning, meal preparation, and other household duties effectively
- Relevant certifications or training in caregiving or health & safety standards preferred but not required
- A genuine passion for supporting others’ independence and quality of life
