King Cole Catering

Primary Location: Buffalo Crossing, 2505 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg (and other locations within Winnipeg, as required)

Pay: $16.40–$17.40 per hour, based on experience, plus gratuities

Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

King Cole Catering is a family-run company that has been providing full-service catering for events and weddings across Manitoba since 1996.

We are looking for a friendly and dependable part time casual server to join our team. Most shifts will take place during the day at Buffalo Crossing, with opportunities to work at other locations and events throughout Winnipeg as needed.

This is a casual position, so hours will vary depending on our event schedule and business needs. It would be a good fit for someone with previous hospitality experience who enjoys working with people, stays organized and is comfortable helping wherever needed.

Responsibilities

Depending on the shift, responsibilities may include:

- Setting up dining, buffet and service areas
- Greeting guests and providing friendly, attentive service
- Serving food, coffee and other beverages
- Restocking buffet and beverage stations
- Clearing tables, dishes, cutlery and glassware
- Answering guest questions and passing food-related or allergy questions to the chef or supervisor
- Assisting with basic food presentation and service preparation
- Washing dishes and helping keep service and kitchen areas clean
- Loading, unloading and putting away catering supplies
- Following direction from the chef,



supervisor or event lead
- Setting up and tearing down tables and chairs
- Assisting with setup and cleanup at other KCC locations and events as needed
- Following KCC’s food-safety, workplace-safety and customer-service standards

Requirements

- Previous serving, restaurant, catering or hospitality experience is required
- Availability for weekday shifts, primarily between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle
- Dependable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team
- Friendly and professional when interacting with guests and clients
- Able to follow instructions and adjust as priorities change
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry catering supplies
- Available to work at other locations in Winnipeg when required

Additional Qualifications The following would be considered an asset:

- Smart Choices certification
- Food Handler Certification
- Catering, banquet or buffet-service experience
- Experience with coffee or beverage service

Compensation

- $16.40–$17.40 per hour, based on experience
- Gratuities in addition to hourly pay
- Opportunities to pick up additional catering and event shifts
