Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role will be essential in ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a delicious drink.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to process customer orders efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation surfaces, equipment, and dining areas to adhere to food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following cash handling procedures.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work workplace and support each other during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of various coffee types is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
- Experience using POS systems is beneficial; familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
