Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Building Superintendent to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our commercial or industrial facility. This vital role ensures the building’s systems run smoothly, efficiently, and reliably, fostering a protected and comfortable environment for all occupants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong management skills, technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, and a passion for leadership in building operations.

Your hands-on approach will help maintain the integrity of the facility while managing projects that enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to ensure timely repairs and inspections.
- Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to optimize building performance.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of work.
- Review schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Plan and execute renovation or upgrade projects with attention to safety, budget, and timeline considerations.




- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards while maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

- Proven management experience in building operations or industrial maintenance environments.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, electrical wiring (including low voltage), and general building infrastructure.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or industrial facilities is a plus.
- Experience supervising teams or contractors in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and control system diagrams confidently.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems is advantageous.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
