We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to custom cabinet, door, and drawer production. This position is suited to someone starting their career who has foundational woodworking skills and a willingness to learn or someone with experience in cabinet making looking to take on more diverse responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC equipment and a sliding table saw according to shop procedures.
- Safely operate saws, handheld power tools, and other woodworking equipment.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, dimensions, and cutting lists.
- Measure, cut, machine, and assemble cabinet components.
- Manufacture cabinet doors and drawers.
- Complete basic joinery and check work for accuracy and quality.
- Assist with cabinet installation, including positioning, levelling, fastening, and adjustments.
- Maintain a clean,
organized workspace and follow shop safety procedures.
- Work with the team to meet production schedules.
Requirements
- Ability to read shop drawings and complete basic joinery.
- Ability to safely operate saws and handheld power tools.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and work with fractions.
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a positive approach to learning.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Familiarity with hardwoods and composite materials is an asset. Previous woodworking experience, relevant courses, or a co-op placement are also assets.
