4-5 years of in town work lined up. Most work is based in a heated shop, all winter.
We are a fast growing modular camp service company looking to add a few more good people to our crew. Must be willing to go to camp when needed, and experience with modular buildings an asset.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure
- Fabricate, build, and assemble structures using various tools and materials
- Install electrical components as needed
- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials (wood, fiberglass, drywall, etc.) according to specifications
- Inspect and repair damaged structures and rot
- Collaborate with other team members and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
- Good communication skills
- Safety tickets an asset
