Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle transactions, assist with product inquiries, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere in our grocery store.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.

- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.

- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols.

- Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement.

- Assist in merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure product availability and visibility.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.

- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.

- Support supervisory staff in training recent associates and ensuring adherence to store policies.





Requirements

- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.

- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.

- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.

- Experience with cashiering duties, including cash handling procedures.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

- Bilingual candidates are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.

- Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in career advancement opportunities.
