Job Type: Seasonal (Winter 2026–2027)

Pay: $28.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Jonathan's Snow & Landscaping is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hardworking Commercial Snow Removal Operator to join our team for the upcoming winter season.

The successful candidate will assist with winter maintenance at our commercial properties, including plowing parking lots, salting, and clearing sidewalks and building entrances. The position may also involve clearing some residential walkways and entrances, working alongside other crew members.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that involves shovelling in addition to operating a plow truck. While additional crew members will assist during snow events, applicants must be comfortable performing regular manual snow removal duties.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, and understands the importance of providing reliable, quality service throughout the winter season.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a plow truck to clear commercial parking lots, driveways, and access areas.
- Perform salting and ice management at commercial properties.
- Regularly shovel and clear sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, and other pedestrian areas.
- Assist with snow removal from residential walkways and entrances as required, with support from other crew members.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure properties are cleared thoroughly and efficiently.




- Monitor changing weather and property conditions throughout snow events.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, shop work, and other assigned duties during periods without snowfall.
- Communicate effectively with management and other snow removal crew members.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous commercial snow plowing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience operating truck-mounted plows and salting equipment.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of performing regular, demanding snow shovelling duties in winter conditions.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and exercise good judgment.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to attending scheduled snow removal shifts.
- Flexible availability for overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday work as required by weather conditions.
- Experience with equipment maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting is an asset.
