Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Construction and Development Officer to oversee project planning, execution, and development activities across Western Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, civil engineering, and project coordination, with a focus on delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety standards while fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

Duties

- Review and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution

- Develop comprehensive construction estimates and budgets based on detailed schematics and project scope.

- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless project delivery.

- Oversee construction activities on-site and in the office to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

- Manage project schedules using scheduling tools to meet deadlines efficiently.

- Conduct site inspections and review construction progress regularly to identify potential issues early.





- Implement best practices in construction estimating and project management to optimize resource allocation and cost control.

- Foster effective communication among team members through the use of construction management software and regular meetings.

Experience

- Proven experience in construction management or civil engineering roles with a focus on infrastructure or development projects.

- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.

- Hands-on experience with construction estimating tools s and equivalent software.

- Experience managing large-scale projects using scheduling platforms.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore and Bluebeam for document control and collaboration.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced workplace.
