Overview in need of a construction helper for few days

Duties

- Assist skilled workers with various construction tasks, including material handling, site cleanup, and equipment setup
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople in executing their duties efficiently
- Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling components
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Help with concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to ensure quality standards are met
- Prepare sites for installation of drywall, flooring, tile, cabinetry, or painting projects




- Follow safety protocols diligently while working around heavy equipment and construction hazards

Qualifications

- Prior construction experience or related hands-on work is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Ability to operate or learn heavy equipment such as forklifts or mixers is advantageous
- Knowledge of construction disciplines including carpentry, drywall installation, concrete finishing, masonry, welding, plumbing or electrical work is beneficial
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
