Job Overview

Hojo's Japanese Cuisine is looking for a reliable, motivated, and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team!

We specialize in authentic Japanese cuisine, including ramen, sushi, and a variety of traditional Japanese dishes. We take pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food and providing an excellent dining experience for our customers.

We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking, works well in a team, and can maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen. Experience in Japanese cuisine is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to our recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.
- Assist with daily food preparation, including cutting, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
- Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Keep kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.




- Monitor food quality and freshness while minimizing waste.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant kitchen is preferred.
- Japanese cuisine experience is an asset, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and follow established recipes.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
