Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, ensuring ingredients are ready for service and dishes meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support chefs with cooking tasks, following recipes and safety guidelines to deliver delicious meals
- Handle food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of ingredients
- Contribute to efficient service by managing food orders using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Support cashiering duties by assisting with cash handling and serving customers at the counter or bar area
- Uphold high standards of guest service by maintaining a friendly attitude and ensuring timely meal delivery
Skills
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and food handling safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar cash register operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus, along with barista experience or guest services skills
