Blue Heron Dental Group is growing, and we’re looking for a friendly, skilled, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team! We’re a busy, family-oriented, non-corporate dental practice located in the heart of Ottawa.

Your Role:
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficient treatment
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments
- Take and process dental X-rays
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical charting
- Follow established infection prevention and control protocols, including instrument sterilization and operatory disinfection
- Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions as needed
- Monitor and maintain dental instruments, equipment,



and supplies
- Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and the administrative team to ensure smooth patient flow
- Contribute to a positive, welcoming, and professional patient experience

What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Level ll Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent qualifications recognized in Ontario
- Current CPR certification
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A genuine passion for patient care
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team
- Experience with ABELDent, Dexis, Trios3, or SprintRay is an asset
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
