Fairview Dental Centre is a well-established, privately owned dental practice looking for a Sterilization Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team!

We pride ourselves on our relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, long-standing patient relationships, and dedicated team members. We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a team environment.

Previous dental experience is an asset, but not required! We're happy to provide training to the right individual who is eager to learn and interested in a career in the dental field.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, and complete required sterilization logs and documentation.
- Set up, disinfect, and prepare treatment rooms between patient appointments.
- Assist with room setups for sedation, specialty procedures, and other dental treatments.
- Support the clinical team with room turnover, instrument preparation, and maintaining an efficient daily workflow.
- Monitor, restock, and organize dental instruments, materials, and supplies.
- Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical and sterilization areas.
- Provide additional support throughout the clinic as needed.
- Follow workplace safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
