Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for meal service.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, sinks, and storage spaces to uphold food safety standards.
- Support the culinary team with meal assembly and presentation when needed.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with health regulations.
- Restock supplies and ensure all dishware and utensils are readily available for staff during service hours.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed.
