Role Summary The Embedded Software Developer works with other teams at Solara to develop the software/firmware of our mobile communication devices and products. These products range from personal communication devices to industrial equipment designed and built for rugged, harsh environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with other disciplines (back-end, systems, electronics, mechanical) to bring products to market.
- Define and develop software requirements for embedded and mobile communication products.
- Implement and oversee the implementation, testing,



release, and maintenance of embedded software.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate unit and system-level testing.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency with C/C++, Python
- Understanding of ARM Cortex Microcontroller Architecture
- Proficiency with Bare-metal, RTOS and Linux software development
- Familiarity with UART, CAN, SPI, I2C, and Bluetooth communication protocols
- Experience with wireless communication methods and devices
- Experience with GIT version control
- Application of CI/CD practices to an Embedded Setting is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
