AyA Kitchens is seeking a recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering Technology. The candidate must be a hands-on and technically minded Technologist, to support the development and improvement of cabinetry for manufacturing.

Positions Summary:

The Engineering Technologist will work closely with Manufacturing and IT to ensure cabinetry components are programmed and manufactured efficiently, accurately, and consistently. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in manufacturing technology, automation, CNC equipment and continuous improvement.

Must have experience with the following:

- AutoCAD
- SolidWorks.

Responsibilities:

- Identify the engineering and technical development of new and existing cabinetry products.
- Translate product designs into practical and manufacturable production components.
- Work with various software to program new products, create bill of materials and associated CNC programs.
- Develop and maintain technical drawings, specifications and product documentation.
- Investigate production issues and solve any dimensional, material, hardware, machining or assembly problems.
- Develop prototypes and conduct testing of new products, components, materials, and manufacturing methods.
- Support the implementation of new equipment, automation,



and manufacturing technologies.
- Ensure engineering revisions are properly documented and communicated to affected departments.

Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience with woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, furniture, or similar manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC machining and automated manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing methods.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong computer and technical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills are an asset.
