Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their eyewear needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Educate clients on optical products, lens options, and eye health best practices using clear, detailed explanations
- Assist with selecting frames that suit individual styles, face shapes, and prescriptions while ensuring proper fit and comfort
- Conduct basic vision assessments and preliminary tests and coordinate with optometrists for comprehensive eye exams
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately while promoting additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical technology, and retail inventory to provide informed recommendations
- Support laboratory processes by handling lens measurements,
frame adjustments, and quality checks to ensure optimal results - will also be supported by licensed opticians for this
- Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently
Requirements
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care
- Previous experience in optical retail sales or laboratory environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with optical equipment, laboratory procedures, or optical management systems is a plus
- Proven ability to excel in retail sales environments with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of retail management principles to support store operations effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while delivering outstanding customer service
- A proactive attitude with a passion for helping others see clearly and confidently
