This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys solving equipment problems, working independently, and building strong customer relationships. You’ll work directly with railway and contractor teams to keep their equipment operating safely and reliably. Candidates with railway experience, particularly in maintenance-of-way or engineering services, will receive preference.

What You’ll Do

- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair railway and MOW equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete effective repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and assist with equipment inspections and fleet evaluations.
- Provide technical support to customers and assist with operator and mechanic training.

- Coordinate with parts and sales teams to identify service requirements and resolve equipment issues.
- Complete accurate service reports and related documentation in a timely manner.
- Follow company procedures, customer site requirements, and applicable safety standards.
- Manage field assignments, travel schedules, and changing customer priorities.

What You Bring
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience servicing heavy equipment, vehicles, or industrial machinery.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage your time, and adapt to changing field conditions.
- Clear communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- A high school diploma or equivalent. A relevant technical or trade certification is an asset.
- A valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
- A valid Canadian passport and the ability to travel to the United States.
- English proficiency; French language skills are an asset.
- The ability to meet the physical demands of field work, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors.
- A consistent commitment to safe work practices.

Preferred experience: Railway maintenance-of-way or engineering services. Experience in construction, mining, or heavy equipment service is also valued. Travel & Work Schedule

- Calgary-based position with approximately 50–75% travel across Canada and the United States.
- On-site work at customer locations.
- Evening and weekend work as required to meet customer service needs.

Compensation & Vacation
- Salaried position with additional field incentives.
- Company service vehicle provided for field work.
- Two weeks of annual vacation to start.
