Garage Living Vancouver
Port Coquitlam
Garage Cabinet & Slatwall Installer – Tri-Cities (Port Coquitlam Based)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Paid Travel Time | Benefits
We're hiring 1 experienced tradesperson — not entry-level, not "willing to figure it out." If you've spent real years with tools in your hands and you're tired of disorganized job sites, this is a step up.
Garage Living Vancouver builds high-end garage spaces across the Lower Mainland — custom cabinetry, slatwall systems, polyaspartic floor coatings — in finished, occupied homes. Not muddy recent-builds. Precision work you can put your name on.
See our team and projects: instagram.com/garagelivingvancouver
What You’ll Love:
- Monday to Friday schedule
- 6:30am – 3:00pm (starting and ending at our Port Coquitlam warehouse)
- Paid travel time from the warehouse to job site(s)
- Benefits package
- Consistent indoor work environment year-round
- Cross-training in polyaspartic/epoxy flooring, with room to grow into car lifts and other specialty installs
- Professional, culture-first team environment
If you want variety instead of the same job site for months and adding new skillsets, this is it.
What You’ll Do:
- Install cabinetry and slatwall systems to a tight tolerance: measured, level, flush, first time
- Read the scope of work and execute it without hand-holding
- Be the face of Garage Living on site. Greet clients, walk them through the work, and answer their questions with confidence
- Keep job sites clean and organized. You’re a guest in someone’s home, so protect it and leave it better than you found it
- Catch problems before they become callbacks, and flag them early
- Communicate proactively with the Installation Manager and Ops Manager, not just when something goes wrong
- Cross-train into polyaspartic/epoxy floor coating application, with room to grow into car lifts and other specialty installs
Applicants without carpentry or closely-related trade experience will not move forward in our process.
What You Bring:
- Carpentry experience is a must. Finish carpentry, cabinetmaking, millwork, trim, framing, or renovation carpentry. We’re looking for 2 years of real time on the tools.
- You are confident with using: Skill saw, chop saw, jig saw, level, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; based in or within ~15km of the Tri-Cities
- Client-ready presence. You’re comfortable talking with homeowners, you communicate clearly, and you present yourself the way a premium brand deserves: clean, courteous, in uniform, and on time
- An eye for detail. You notice when something is 1/16" off, and it bugs you until it’s fixed
- Reliability. You show up every day, on time, without being chased
- Ability to work independently and take direction well
- Physical fitness for a full day on your feet, lifting up to 50 lbs
Construction or trades experience is required — as long as you meet our requirements and eager to learn, we’ll train the right person.
If you cut corners, struggle with punctuality, or need constant supervision, this won’t be a fit.
Who Thrives Here:
You take pride in clean, finished work and you think a step ahead.
You’re good with people and you want to build a real career in the trades. You’re looking for somewhere to land, not somewhere to pass through.

About Garage Living Vancouver
Garage Living Vancouver is a family-owned and operated company, and we’re growing fast. More homeowners are realizing the garage is the most underused square footage in the house, and they’re hiring us to turn it into finished, high-value space. That means steady work, better projects, and room for the right people to grow with us.
We’re hiring 1 committed tradesperson to join a small crew that values quality and backs each other up. We’re not looking for a revolving door. We’re looking for people who want to build something here.
