Seafood Production Worker

Overview

Join our seafood processing team as a Seafood Production Worker and play an key role in producing and packaging high-quality seafood products. At SeaLux, we work with a variety of seafood, including frozen fish, smoked fish, seafood portions, and value-added products. In this hands-on role, you will assist with seafood preparation, processing, packaging, and handling while helping us maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who pay attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a team. No previous experience is required, as training will be provided. We welcome candidates with different levels of experience who are willing to learn and contribute to our production operations.

Duties

- Assist with the preparation and packaging of various seafood products, including frozen fish, smoked fish, fillets, portions, and value-added seafood items.
- Package, weigh, label, and seal seafood products using appropriate packaging equipment.
- Assist with vacuum sealing and preparing products for storage and distribution.
- Handle seafood products carefully to maintain product quality and ensure proper handling procedures are followed.
- Check product weights, labels, and packaging for accuracy.
- Organize packaged products, supplies, and materials in designated work areas.
- Follow established food safety procedures, including proper temperature control and prevention of cross-contamination.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, tools,



and equipment according to company procedures.
- Assist with preparing customer orders and meeting daily production requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Work with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently and maintain consistent product quality.

Skills

- No previous experience required — training will be provided.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Good attention to detail when packaging, weighing, and labelling products.
- Ability to keep the work area clean and organized.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with others.
- Comfortable performing hands-on tasks such as packaging, labelling, and organizing seafood products.
- Previous experience in food production, packaging, or seafood handling is an asset but not required.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment.

Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
