FULL-TIME SNOW REMOVAL TECHNICIAN – NW CALGARY

Augusta Lawn Care of NW Calgary is hiring dependable people to join our core full-time winter snow removal team.

This is a weather-dependent position for someone who can make Augusta their primary winter job and be counted on when snow arrives.

IMPORTANT — THIS IS WEATHER-DEPENDENT WORK This is not a traditional Monday–Friday job. Snow determines when we work.

You need broad availability Monday through Sunday within our 4:00 AM–10:00 PM operating window.

This does not mean you work from 4:00 AM–10:00 PM every day. A storm may require a 4:00 AM start. Another may start later and require work into the evening.

Some snow events can mean long, physically demanding days working outside in Calgary winter conditions. During periods with little or no snow, you may also have substantial time away from snow operations.

Expected hours are approximately 20–40 hours per week on average, but hours can vary significantly week to week depending on snowfall.

During prolonged periods without snow, other paid work may be offered, including equipment maintenance, property cleanup, shop work, flyers and general labour.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Clear snow from driveways, sidewalks, pathways, steps and other assigned areas
- Shovel snow and perform physical outdoor work for extended periods
- Operate snow blowers and other snow-removal equipment




- Perform ice management and apply ice-melt products where required
- Drive company trucks/equipment when trained and authorized
- Travel between customer properties as part of an assigned route
- Load, unload, clean and take care of equipment
- Use our company app for dispatch, routes, timekeeping, job photos and documenting completed work
- Work independently and as part of a crew
- Take care of customer property, company vehicles and equipment

WHAT WE REQUIRE Reliability comes first. We would rather train someone dependable, positive and coachable than hire someone experienced who doesn’t show up.

You must have:

- Reliable transportation to and from our designated NW Calgary starting location
- Valid driver’s licence and satisfactory driving abstract
- Smartphone with an active data plan
- Ability to perform demanding outdoor work in snow and cold for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift/carry approximately 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical work
- Broad availability for snow events, including early mornings, weekends and holidays when required
- Positive attitude, good communication and willingness to learn
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada

EXPERIENCE IS AN ASSET — NOT A REQUIREMENT Previous snow removal, landscaping, lawn care, construction, equipment operation or other physical outdoor work is an asset.

Snow-removal experience is not required. We can train the right person.

What matters most to us is reliability, work ethic, attitude, coachability and safety.
