We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Guest Services Representative to join our close-knit team. The successful candidate will help create a welcoming experience for our hotel guests while supporting the daily operations of our front desk.
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. Shifts may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Please note that hours and shifts are not guaranteed.
Previous experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Welcoming guests and providing excellent customer service.
- Checking hotel guests in and out.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to guest inquiries.
- Managing computerized reservations and front desk transactions.
- Handling cash, payments, and daily cash balancing.
- Assisting with customer relations and resolving guest concerns professionally.
- Selling event tickets.
- Promoting our loyalty program.
- Cashing out Pub staff.
- Performing other front desk and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Excellent customer service, communication, and written English skills.
- A professional appearance and courteous manner.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn computerized hotel systems.
- Experience in hospitality or customer service is an asset.
- Ability to handle cash and payments responsibly.
- Must be bondable and willing to undergo a police background check, paid for by the employer.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
- Must reside locally or within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Must be comfortable working in a smoke-free and vape-free environment.
- Must be willing to review and agree to the conditions of employment before being considered for the position.
