- Support site safety by reinforcing and training on policies and objectives
- Ensure organizational policies and safety philosophy are understood and adhered to
- Stay abreast of current and revised legislation, industry trends and best Support the development of site specific Emergency Response Plans and Contractor Safety Management
- Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
- Ensure all health and safety reports are completed and documented
- Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled health and safety and inspections
- Collaborate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Maintain and enforce health & safety regulations, policies, practices and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Formal education and/or training in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience
- Recommended prior experience working in a similar role
- Strong computer proficiency, specifically using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Office etc.)
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Willing to travel for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
