​Position Summary

​We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the service, troubleshooting, and repair of our entire fleet, ranging from heavy equipment and commercial trucks to specialized winter maintenance gear.

​We believe in teamwork—you won’t just be isolated in a shop; you’ll work closely alongside our crew leaders and field operators to ensure our equipment runs smoothly and our jobs get done safely and efficiently.

​Key Responsibilities

- ​Fleet & Truck Maintenance: Inspect, service, and repair diesel and gas commercial trucks (dump trucks, flatbeds, pick-ups, trailers, and haulers).
- ​Heavy & Landscape Equipment Service: Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostic checks, and mechanical/hydraulic/electrical repairs on heavy machinery (skid steers, excavators, loaders, mowers, and power equipment).
- ​Winter Equipment Prep & Repair: Prepare, service, and maintain snow and ice management equipment, including plows, salters/spreaders, and winterized attachments, ensuring zero downtime during winter operations.
- ​Team Collaboration:



Work directly with field staff and crew members on job sites or in the shop to troubleshoot issues, perform quick field repairs, and ensure proper equipment operation.
- ​Safety & Compliance: Maintain clean and organized work areas, adhere to all safety regulations, and keep clear maintenance logs and inspection records.

​Qualifications & Requirements

- ​Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Truck/Automotive Mechanic (Landscape/Construction industry experience preferred).
- ​Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, braking systems, and small engines.
- ​Experience servicing winter maintenance equipment (plows, salt spreaders, hydraulic attachments).
- ​Strong teamwork and communication skills—a positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively on jobs.
- ​Valid Driver’s License (Commercial or Heavy Vehicle license/endorsement is a strong asset).
- ​Ability to work flexible hours or respond to urgent fleet needs during peak seasons and winter weather events.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
