Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks across various routes throughout the United States, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each journey
- Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and freight details in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel,
and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
Skills
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial driving across long distances
- Proficiency in forklift operation for loading/unloading freight safely and efficiently
- Experience handling freight shipments with attention to detail and proper securing techniques
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading cargo
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues during routes or at terminals
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, traffic laws, and federal transportation regulations (such as FMCSA standards)
- Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and clients
