TradeCraft Heating and Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer Helper with a valid G2 or G3 Gas Technician licence to join our installation team.

The successful candidate will have previous hands-on experience installing residential heating and cooling equipment, particularly gas furnaces and central air conditioning systems.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already has practical HVAC installation experience, understands the installation process, is comfortable using industry tools and equipment, and can work efficiently alongside our lead installers with minimal instruction.

Duties

- Assist lead installers with residential furnace and central air conditioning installations and replacements.
- Perform routine installation tasks confidently and efficiently with minimal direction.
- Assist with the installation and modification of sheet metal ductwork, venting, condensate drains, refrigerant line sets, and associated HVAC components.
- Complete gas piping and equipment installation tasks within the scope of the employee's gas certification and applicable supervision requirements.
- Remove existing HVAC equipment and prepare installation areas for new systems.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble installation materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Organize and prepare equipment, materials,



and tools required for each installation.
- Assist with equipment setup, installation completion, and system testing under the direction of qualified technicians.
- Identify potential installation challenges and communicate effectively with the lead installer.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and installation vehicles.
- Follow company procedures, manufacturer installation requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers and fellow team members.

Experience

- Valid Ontario G2 or G3 Gas Technician licence is mandatory.
- Previous hands-on residential HVAC installation experience is mandatory.
- Must have practical experience assisting with furnace and/or central air conditioning installations.
- Must understand the installation process and be familiar with common HVAC materials, components, and equipment.
- Must be proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used during HVAC installations.
- Experience working with ductwork, venting, condensate piping, and refrigerant line sets is strongly preferred.




- Must be capable of completing routine installation tasks independently while working within applicable certification and supervision requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic installation challenges.
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving HVAC equipment, working in confined spaces, and performing physically demanding installation work.
- Dependable, punctual, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour
