Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of traditional Indian dishes, including curries, breads, rice dishes, and snacks, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately
- Serve food promptly and professionally to guests or staff, maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Manage kitchen inventory by monitoring supplies, rotating stock, and notifying management of shortages or quality issues
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations




- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth kitchen operation during busy service hours

Qualifications

- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting, preferably with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices, and traditional recipes
- Demonstrated ability to handle food safely and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Experience in serving customers or guests with professionalism and positive attitude
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food handling procedures, and meal preparation processes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable
