An Industrial Paint Shop Laborer at Lopes is responsible for supporting the painting and sandblasting team. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to build a career within industrial painting and sandblasting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning and organizing paint & sandblast area
- Heavy lifting, forklift operator
- Prepare material for painting & sandblasting
- Maintenance around shop and yard
- Assist painters and sandblasters for operation of respected booth
- Other duties and tasks as required by paint shop supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ months surface preparation experience required
- Hands-on inclined
- Ability to work productively independently and in a team environment
- Flexible, self-motivated and driven to achieve deadlines
- Ability to work varied shift schedules
- Ability to communicate and read in English
- Attention to detail
