The Role

Leap Recruitment Partners is actively sourcing an Intermediate/Senior Hydrogeologist on behalf of a valued client. Our client is a rapidly expanding and forward-thinking geotechnical, materials, and environmental engineering firm operating in Toronto, Ontario. In this position, you will play a crucial part in delivering premier hydrogeological services for a wide array of diverse, high-impact projects across the province.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, coordinate, and execute comprehensive hydrogeological field programs, encompassing drilling initiatives, groundwater monitoring, and aquifer evaluations.

- Analyze complex hydrogeological data to construct conceptual site models (CSMs) and numerical groundwater flow models, directly supporting environmental impact and contaminated site studies.

- Draft high-quality technical proposals, regulatory submissions, and reports while proactively assisting project managers with engineering documentation and client communications.

- Provide rigorous on-site supervision to ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols, while simultaneously mentoring junior field personnel and staff.

- Drive continuous project success by managing deliverables, schedules, and budgets, while actively engaging in business development and client relationship building.

Qualifications

- A university degree (undergraduate or graduate) in Hydrogeology, Geoscience, Geological Engineering, or a closely related environmental discipline.

- A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, coupled with active registration—or eligibility for registration—as a P.Eng. or P.Geo.

- In-depth knowledge of Ontario's regulatory landscape (such as MECP guidelines, the Ontario Water Resources Act, and Excess Soil Regulations), with groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) experience considered a robust asset.

- A valid driver's license, reliable access to a personal vehicle for site visits, and excellent written, analytical, and verbal English communication skills.

What's on Offer

- A highly competitive compensation package accompanied by extensive health, dental, life, long-term disability, and critical illness insurance, plus a Health Spending Account.

- Ample paid time off, incorporating generous vacation allowances, sick leave, and personal days to ensure an optimal work-life balance.

- Dedicated financial backing for ongoing professional development and flexible work schedules to support your family and career goals.
