IT Support Technician (Hybrid, with growth into Automation & Client Advisory)

BC · Hybrid: mostly remote, with regular local client site visits · Full time

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable technician who our clients are genuinely glad to hear from.

This isn’t a “close the ticket and move on” role. Yes, you’ll fix what’s broken, but you’ll also be the person who notices when a better long-term solution could be the better option. As you grow with us, you’ll take on automation, process improvement, and client technology planning, helping shape how our clients use technology, not just keeping it running.

MSP experience is ideal, but what matters most is that you communicate clearly and warmly with non-technical people, follow through on what you say you’ll do, and keep people updated along the way. If you like solving problems for good, not just for today, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Resolve support tickets remotely and onsite, from desktops and printers to Microsoft 365, identity, and network issues

Administer Microsoft 365 across client tenants, including users, licensing, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint

Apply and check security controls such as MFA, conditional access, email security, endpoint protection, and backups

Document your work clearly in our PSA and keep client records current

Visit client sites for setups, moves, hardware, and in-person support

Spot recurring issues and propose lasting fixes, upgrades, or projects

Build automations (scripting, n8n, Power Automate, APIs) that make us and our clients more efficient

Join client reviews and help shape their technology roadmap

What We’re Looking For:

2+ years in IT support, ideally at an MSP

Solid Microsoft 365, Google workspace and Windows administration skills

Working knowledge of networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewalls)

Clear, warm communication with non-technical people, in writing and in person A track record of reliability:



you follow through and keep people updated A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle for local site visits

Nice to Have:

PowerShell or other scripting experience

Exposure to automation tools such as n8n, Power Automate, or Zapier

Security awareness or certifications (Microsoft SC-900/MS-102, CompTIA Security+)

Experience with HaloPSA, an RMM tool, or similar MSP platforms
