Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled JM Electrician to join our preservation team at Edmonton Net Zero Hydrogen Energy Complex, Air Products!

In this vital role, you will be responsible for preserving, inspecting, & protecting electrical equipment throughout storage and pre-commissioning to ensure equipment remains in valuable condition and ready for startup.

Duties

- Perform routine preservation inspections of electrical equipment.
- Maintain transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), electrical panels, motors, and control cabinets.
- Monitor space heaters, humidity levels, desiccants, and moisture protection systems.
- Prevent corrosion, dust contamination, and moisture damage.
- Maintain preservation checklists, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
- Identify and report deficiencies, damage, and preservation issues.
- Follow project specifications, manufacture recommendations, and site safety procedures.
- Coordinate with construction, quality control, and commissioning teams.

Requirements

- Proven experience in electrical equipment preservation within industrial construction and/or oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools,



and electrical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment storage and preservation requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Excellent safety awareness and adherence to electrical codes and regulations.
- Ability to complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Journeyperson electrician trade certificate
- CSTS 2020
- AWP / Fall Arrest

Work Environment

- Plant construction and expansion projects.
- Electrical installation and pre-commissioning activities.
- 4 x 10s schedule with overtime after 40 hours per week.

Pay: $53.22 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
