ICON Sheet Metal Ltd. is a Vancouver Island based sheet metal contracting company, operating and completing projects throughout Vancouver Island. We specialize in multi-unit condos, tenant improvements and small to large commercial fit outs. We offer installation for new and or existing commercial or industrial building projects.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Journeyman to assist with the installation of ducting and sheet metal work on a variety of commercial and multi-family residential projects. Position Accountabilities

- Installation & Fabrication:Participate in the layout, fabrication, and installation of ductwork and related sheet metal components.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to maintain project timelines, ensuring that deliverables are met efficiently.
- Communication: Act as the point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding project progress, issues, and changes.
- Safety Compliance:



Participate with safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and site requirements.

Required Experience

- Experience: At least 5+ years of experience working with ducting, sheet metal installation, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and architectural drawings; familiarity with various sheet metal fabrication tools and HVAC equipment.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for identifying potential issues or deviations, ensuring precision in fabrication and installation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise project managers, and trades.
- Work Ethic: Robust organizational skills and commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Licenses/Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, HVAC-related, or sheet metal apprenticeship completion) preferred

Please note, this position will be based out of Victoria, BC and travel may be required between Victoria and Mid-Vancouver Island. Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
