About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SR&ED; Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED;) tax credit claims for Canadian businesses across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing technical project descriptions and financial documentation for SR&ED; claims.
- Conduct client interviews to identify eligible research and development activities.
- Review project expenditures, payroll records, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and organize SR&ED; claim submissions in accordance with CRA guidelines.
- Support senior consultants in responding to CRA reviews and inquiries.
- Maintain client relationships and ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, with excellent attention to detail. Previous SR&ED; experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering,
Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Entry-level role ideal for recent grads or career changers with strong communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with clients.
- Previous experience with SR&ED; tax credits or government incentive programs is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to learn Canadian SR&ED; tax credit regulations and CRA guidelines.
