We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout appointments
- Assist with administrative duties including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized, and productive clinical environment
Qualifications
- Certification or training in Dental Assisting from an accredited program
- Prior experience with Epic, Dentrix, or similar dental management software is preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is advantageous
- Familiarity with CAD systems used for digital imaging or restorations is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
