Iconic Beauty Aesthetics is seeking an experienced Medical Aesthetician / Laser Technician to join our clinical team in Red Deer for maternity-leave coverage, with the possibility of permanent employment based on future clinic needs.

Iconic Beauty Aesthetics is an established, nurse-led medical aesthetics clinic in Red Deer, Alberta. Our approach combines advanced technology, clinical expertise, and personalized treatment planning to help patients feel like themselves.

Our treatment technologies and services include:

- Fotona StarWalker and Dynamis laser systems
- Lumenis IPL
- Sylfirm radiofrequency microneedling
- DP4 microneedling
- VISIA skin analysis
- Advanced facials, chemical peels, and dermaplaning

Experience with every device is not required. Paid training on Iconic's technologies and clinical protocols is provided.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering advanced skin and laser treatments, conducting consultations, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting long-term patient relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting comprehensive skin consultations and assessments.
- Developing individualized treatment recommendations and plans.
- Performing advanced skin and laser treatments within your verified training and competencies.
- Recognizing contraindications, assessing treatment suitability, and making appropriate clinical decisions.
- Educating patients on treatment expectations, preparation, aftercare, and professional skincare.
- Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation.
- Supporting patient follow-up, rebooking, and continuity of care.
- Recommending appropriate skincare, treatment programs,



and memberships based on individual patient needs.
- Collaborating with the clinical and patient care teams.
- Maintaining treatment-room standards, equipment care, infection-prevention procedures, and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in medical aesthetics and advanced laser treatments.
- Demonstrated practical experience with laser or advanced energy-based treatments.
- Formal education or recognized training in medical aesthetics, laser technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of skin physiology, treatment indications, contraindications, and safety.
- Experience conducting consultations and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational skills, and professional judgment.
- Ability to work independently within established protocols while recognizing when clinical guidance is required.

Preferred:

- 3–5+ years of experience in a medical aesthetics, dermatology, or advanced skin clinic.
- Experience with Fotona, IPL, RF microneedling, or advanced skin rejuvenation.
- Experience with VISIA skin analysis and professional skincare recommendations.
- Familiarity with Zenoti or comparable practice-management software.
- Experience managing ongoing treatment plans and long-term patient relationships.

Compensation and Employment Details

Hourly compensation: $28–$38 per hour, negotiated based on demonstrated clinical competencies, qualifications, and relevant experience.

Commission: 10% on services performed and retail products sold, including services and products purchased through our Beauty Bank membership program. Commission is earned upon eligible service delivery or product sale, in accordance with Iconic's commission policy.

Paid training: Paid training on Iconic's advanced treatment technologies and clinical protocols.

Schedule: Full time preferred, with approximately 24–40 hours per week anticipated. Qualified part-time applicants will also be considered.

Employment type: Temporary maternity-leave coverage, with the possibility of permanent employment based on future clinic needs and mutual agreement. Permanent employment is not guaranteed.

Location: Red Deer, Alberta — in person.
