About Us

Ludus Montessori Children’s House in Burnaby is dedicated to providing an enriching, authentic, and nurturing Montessori environment for young children. We foster independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning through a carefully prepared classroom environment.

We are currently seeking a warm, reliable, and passionate Substitute / On-Call Montessori Teacher to join our team and support our classrooms when regular staff are away.

Key Responsibilities

- Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in implementing the Montessori curriculum, daily routines, and classroom management.
- Child Supervision: Ensure the safety, well-being, and active engagement of children indoors and outdoors at all times.
- Environment Maintenance: Help keep the classroom organized, clean, and prepared following Montessori principles.
- Positive Communication: Maintain professional and warm interactions with children, parents, and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Certifications: ECE Assistant certificate
- Experience:



Previous experience working in a licensed daycare or preschool setting.
- Safety & Compliance: Clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) for working with vulnerable populations, 3 reference letters.
- Soft Skills: Mandarin/Cantonese Chinese Speaking, strong communication skills, adaptability, patience, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
- Reliability: Punctual and available on short notice for on-call shifts.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 – 40.0 per week
